We like having siblings together in our camps. Siblings often help support one another in camp and it’s easier for parents and. The challenge is when they don’t both meet the camp age range, but we do allow exceptions.
If your child is only 6 months to 1 year younger than the camp’s minimum age, to determine your child’s success, ask yourself…
- Can my child focus for 30-45 minutes at a time?
- Does my child enjoy tinkering, solving puzzles, and persist in figuring things out?
- Will my child not be frustrated trying to keep up with an older sibling?
If your answer is Yes to the above, then we can make an exception and recommend one of the mashup camps with game or robot coding. The Minecraft camp is bit more structured, younger students may do well with it if they already have experience with Scratch or Code.org.
During enrollment, please add a note to your child’s registration regarding age exception and sibling support.
