Our Summer STEM Kids camps are designed to be half-day, but can be combined with other half-day camps for a Full Day Camp Experience. We have several great partners who help us to bring these camps to you: City of Redmond, City of Kirkland, YMCA Seattle Eastside, YMCA Northshore, YMCA Shoreline, Issaquah Kidstage Theatre and Bricks for Kidz.
Love to play Minecraft? At TechVenture’s Minecraft Modding summer STEM camp, kids level-up, learning how to program Mods in a Minecraft world. Girls and boys learn how to take Minecraft to the next level, controlling the rules of Minecraft by making their own mods using the blockly coding platform Learn to Mod. Along the way they learn the fundamentals of computer science and exercise problem-solving skills. Daily snack breaks and unplugged activities keeping minds and bodies engaged. We provide all equipment. For this camp we recommend that campers have a Minecraft.net account for PC for the full Minecraft experience.
Is your child a fan of Minecraft, building and creating things, in the real or virtual world? In this TechVenture Computers and Robots camp, girls and boys are introduced to the thrilling world of engineering with the challenge of writing code. To learn more about how and why computers work, we’ve chosen Piper computer kits. Campers assemble electronics to a Raspberry Pi to solve puzzles and challenges within a Minecraft adventure game. Campers continue hands-on learning with Edison robots, building and coding their robots to solve challenges. Daily snack breaks and unplugged activities keeping minds and bodies engaged. We provide all equipment.
Does your child enjoy creating stories and games? In TechVenture’s Games & Robots Code Camp, kids learn the joy of computer programming with MIT’s Blockly platform Scratch and Wonder Robots. They gain confidence, learning to design and program computer games & work with partners to solve robotic programming challenges. Campers develop their understanding of computer science through game design and play, exercising reasoning, math, problem-solving skills. Daily snack and play breaks along with unplugged activities keep minds and bodies engaged. We provide all equipment.

Robots, anyone? In TechVenture’s Adventure into Robotics kids discover how robots are designed differently to complete a variety of tasks. This summer STEM Camp is all about hands-on time for kids to design, build and code a variety of robots. Building and programming robots to complete tasks and challenges, while collaborating with partners, encourages campers to develop math, problem-solving, and team building skills while doing what they love – playing with technology! Unplugged activities keep bodies moving and minds engaged. Daily snack breaks keep kids focused. We provide all equipment.
Do your kids love art and animations? TechVenture’s Photography & Coding STEAM Camp provides an exciting mix of arts and computer science. Girls and boys learn to take great photos and use them to tell a story in their own coded animations. This project-based camp features outdoor excursions, collaborative photo shoots, and hands-on editing.. Campers learn to shoot and edit digital photographs, bringing them to life in animated stories or games they program in MIT’s Scratch coding platform. We provide all equipment, it is recommended to bring your own SD card or thumb drive.
Is your child curious about technology? In TechVenture’s Code Camp Junior, young campers are introduced to the thrill of creating animated stories and controlling robots using code. Engaged in multiple activities each day, using platforms Scratch Jr, and Wonder Robots, kids create their own interactive stories on tablet computers and work together programming robots to dance, navigate paths and more. Engaging unplugged activities reinforce concepts. Daily snack/play breaks keep kids’ minds and bodies moving. We provide all equipment.
Is your child curious about robots and how they work? These budding tech scientists will be busy in TechVenture’s Robotics JR Camp, interacting hands-on with various robots like Wonder Robots, Lego WeDo and Ozobots. Young learners explore basic engineering and programming concepts as they create and solve mini challenges using code. Engaging unplugged activities reinforce concepts. Daily snack/play breaks keep minds and bodies moving. We provide all equipment.
Ever dream of creating your own game for others to play? Join us for this week of Game Design 101 where students learn the principles of programming, working as teams, prototyping ideas, publishing, and more. Using a 2D game engine, there’s no language to learn. Instead, students focus on learning the elements of compelling game design and mechanics, creating their own puzzle, RPG or platformer games, and sending their characters on an epic adventure in their own 2D game universe. Our coaches guide students at any skill level. We provide all equipment.
Enjoy playing games or solving problems? In this Python starter camp, TechVenture invites students of all experience levels to learn why Python is an easy-to-learn professional scripting language. This camp teaches everything from basic syntax to complex concepts such as arrays, objects and more. Students learn how to create quizzes, guessing games, and popular arcade games. Prior programming experience using block or text-based languages is helpful, but not required. Our coaches guide students at any skill level. We provide all equipment.
